Split-Level Open Plan Kitchen/Lounge Renovation

The client approached Buildtech to carry out a split-level open plan kitchen and lounge renovation, which involved the construction of a 30sqm single-storey rear extension, significantly enhancing the existing home and making the most of the site’s sloping nature.

The design uniquely positioned the kitchen on the upper level, maximising natural light into the cosy lounge area below, with stylish skylights and long rear windows ensuring the space is filled with light.

The full project included a rear single-storey extension, a flat roof with skylight, and a brand new kitchen that combines modern aesthetics with functionality. New floor finishes were updated throughout to create a smooth flow between the spaces.

The renovation also included a complete electrical rewire, plumbing upgrades, new windows and doors, expert carpentry work, drainage adjustments, a bathroom refurbishment, and full painting and decorating throughout. The result is a beautifully designed and functional living space that perfectly balances style and comfort, delivered within budget by the Buildtech team.
