This project delivered a full renovation and reconfiguration of the ground floor of an existing family home, alongside the construction of a new rear extension to enhance space, flow, and day-to-day functionality. The works began with a complete strip-out of the existing kitchen, internal partitions, floor finishes, and services, creating a blank canvas for a redesigned layout.
We then completed structural alterations to open up the kitchen, dining, and living areas. New steel supports were installed to create a bright, open-plan environment with a smooth transition to the rear garden.
The new rear extension was built on new structural foundations and constructed with high-performance cavity walls, upgraded insulation, and a lean-to roof with an integrated rooflight to maximise natural light. Drainage and all key services were upgraded throughout, including plumbing, heating, and electrics. This included the installation of a new boiler, a pressurised hot water system, upgraded radiators, and a modern electrical layout designed around the new plan.
Internally, the project included new plastering and insulation, bespoke kitchen, pantry, and utility cabinetry, quality worktops, new flooring, joinery, doors, and finishes throughout. A new ground-floor WC was also added, followed by extensive redecoration to complete the transformation.
The result is a well-planned, modern family home with improved energy performance, enhanced usability, and a refined interior finish, delivered through Buildtech’s fully managed design and build process from strip-out to final handover.
